I also teach Tai Chi

It's not something that I've ever mentioned before on this blog, but it's a major part of my life, so i thought it was about time to write something about it. There is also a further reason for mentioning it-

I have a new beginners Tai Chi class starting on the 3rd of February, with a free talk and demo on the 27th of January.

So if you've ever thought about giving it a go, why not come on down and try it out. You can find the other classes that are run by the school I'm part of here: Bristol Wutan

There is way more to be said about Tai Chi and if you are interested then check out: Wikipedia's entry on Tai Chi.

I will say a few word mind, Tai Chi comes from China, it is both a meditative and martial art. There are many different styles of Tai Chi but the one I teach beginners is Cheng Man-ch'ing's version of Yang Style. This is shorter and includes less repetition than the older, longer Yang form. It is good for developing focus, concentration, improving circulation and balance.

  • @andytfield Yes critics should be looking at the work's meaning & the artist's intent rather than just the machinery which carries it.
