Fairground’s Open Day May 5th .

Where: Tobacco Factory
When: Monday 5th May
Time: 10am – 4pm

FairGround is an exciting Bristol based theatre company and you are invited to their Open Day!

This day will be a fun, entertaining and exciting experience for all who come along. It is a chance to participate in workshops with the company, meet and chat to the creatives who run the company, and a chance to watch an open rehearsal of their forthcoming production The Red Man which is on at the Tobacco Factory in June.

The day is an opportunity for anyone interested in theatre.

One Day PlayGround

The special intensive workshop is aimed at anyone interested in developing theatre skills and will be led by Tid, FairGround's Joint Artistic Director.

The jam-packed session will look at specialist theatre skills including physical theatre, devising and cross disciplinary performance. The workshop aims to challenge common approaches and perceptions of theatre, and will be a fun and energetic 1.5 hours offering numerous approaches to creating performance.

Performers who train on the day may then be invited to other training and performance opportunities with FairGround.

This will also be a great intro into the FREE open rehearsal event later that day.

Workshops: £10/£8
Times: 10am – 12pm

Cake, Chat and refreshments

Throughout the day people will be able to buy cake and refreshments in the foyer, and talk with the directors of the company, the cast, and other creatives involved in creating The Red Man. There will also be an opportunity to do likewise over lunch.

Cake/Lunch Chat time: 12pm – 1pm

Open Rehearsal

A rare opportunity for anyone interested in the processes behind creating devised work. FairGround opens their rehearsals to anyone who wants to watch the company in action, gain an understanding of FairGround’s work, and get a sneak preview of The Red Man.
