I'm going to be playing a Wolf Sister in this wonderful little show, at the Bristol Do, we'll be doing 4 shows a day, on the 26th and 27th of september at 1.45, 3, 4.15, and 5.30.

A promenade performance which tells the tale of a girl who is not like other little girls, and how life in the wild can take unexpected and sometimes rather unpleasant turns. You will enter an off kilter world of showman’s tents, hairy sisters, tiny cinema screens, live music and beautiful hand drawn animation.

For the first time in nearly a year I performed 10 Ways to Die on Stage. It was an absolute pleasure, The Ustinov is a lovely black box theatre with helpful technical staff, a nice layout and a good lighting set up.

I performed the show for a small audience of teenagers who are part of a theatre programme run by the Lovely Sita Calvert - Ennals. It was really interesting playing with their reactions and the material often took on new timings and i improvised some new stuff as i went, which felt really good.

Just back in my room at the Ramada Birmingham Oldbury and typing this on the tiny keyboard of my new toy. But all this is mear tangental obfuscation, the real substance of this post is as follows.

Pilot 15 was a wonderfully mixed bag of performance styles. Kicking off with the a more traditional offer from Untied Artists, ladies and gentlemen- A Play no less. The best thing about these extracts from The Glassworks was the swearing 10 year old and the other worldly segments featuring him and a mirror. www.jakeoldershaw.com

Well that was interesting, I did a performance of The Middle Bit as an almost totally audience driven improvisation session. It was interesting but might have had a tendency to become white noise rather than a symphony. Next time, as every time, I will do a few things differently. I learnt a lot, which is the idea, this time it was the more subtle suggestions that, on reflection, were the most interesting. Namely John Arbuckle seeing his own death and having a happy thought.

It's all about me, no really, it's just me that's all there is. Theatre Bristol has just launched their new site and the old listings have not been transferred so right now I'm the only person who makes theatre in Bristol. Kudos to me!

I am looking for someone who wants to produce my solo work in return for a decent chunk of any profit, without having to shoulder the burdens of any losses. I want to get my work out there and have financial as well as artistic success. I think it would suite someone just starting out, but the more experience the better. It has been an emotional day, with no less than three appearances on the Forest Fringe stage. First trying out material for my brand new show: The Middle Bit (working title). This went well, but I didn´t strike the right tone and it felt a little hashed and false. There were some good turns from Mamuru Iriguchi, who i have mentioned before in my worst nightmare awards, a choreographer/dancer whose name i shall ammend to this post and The team.
